The Art of David Hastings

David Hastings is a member of the Oil Painters of America and has been an artist most of his life. However, the first phase of his artistic life came in the form of furniture and interior design and manufacturing. For over twenty-five years he owned and operated The Windsor Forest Company in Southern California designing high end wood products for top designers, homeowners, and churches. After selling his company and taking a hiatus, David has been hired by some of the top millwork companies in the nation to help them get to the next level in operations and profits. In 2019, he met a well-known artist that gave him the sound advice of "just get paints and paint" when he expressed his desire to learn how to paint. In just a few short years he has been accepted into OPA, had solo exhibits and sold dozens of pieces. His work continues to grow and improve as he works under the mentorship of one of todays top painters.
